MLM Promotions, the marketing agency for logistics, delivers custom work and focuses on long-term collaborations. Shipping company Hudig & Veder works in the same way. It is therefore logical that these two parties have found each other. Elise Boender, marketing and communications officer at Hudig & Veder, aims to ensure that it is clear what Hudig & Veder stands for and how complete the logistics solutions are. To achieve this goal, Hudig & Veder and MLM Promotions have joined forces.

The world of shipping is and remains a 'people's business'. People do business with people. In order to make the people behind Hudig & Veder more visible, a series of portraits of employees has been started. What work do they do? What makes their work challenging? And what developments have been made?


MLM Promotions conducts the interviews and designs the articles. 'It is important that the identity of the company is clearly presented. The tone of voice is businesslike and the focus is on the knowledge and experience of over 225 years. However, the personal character of Hudig & Veder is a large part of the DNA, which makes it clear what makes the heart beat faster.

The Hudig & Veder team is a nice mix of young people and people who have been working there for a long time, sometimes up to 50 years. The loyalty is not only visible in the team, but also in the customers. 'For example, there are collaborations with customers of 30 or sometimes even 40 years.'


For Elise, the greatest added value of MLM Promotions is the expertise in the logistics world. 'It is important to us that the person we work with has knowledge of logistics processes. That makes it easier to switch between them.' According to Elise, she and Michelle speak the same (logistics) language.

The ABC concept consists of a collaboration of the various departments within Hudig & Veder. Within this collaboration, they create an ultimate logistics plan for their customers. They do this by combining the strengths of the Agencies, Bulk and Chartering departments. Together they form the ABC concept. With this concept, Hudig & Veder offers the highest possible service to our customers, which leads to a sustainable, cost-friendly and clear logistics process. A process that is designed to relieve our customers. The Projects department also has its own place within the system. The specialists of this department find a suitable solution for every logistical challenge for project and breakbulk cargo. The concept can best be described as a supply chain under its own management.

The goal is to create a one-stop shop for customers and continue to offer the extra service they are used to from Hudig & Veder. With the opening of the warehouse in the Laurenshaven in Rotterdam a few years ago for the covered storage of dry bulk goods, it is complete. Let the future come.

A next step in the collaboration between MLM Promotions and Hudig & Veder is that customers tell their story about their experience with the shipping company, which makes them ambassadors.
